Escalator East To Edinburgh is dedicated to making its Edinburgh Fringe programme accessible to Deaf and disabled audiences and artists.

We are committed to both the advocacy involved and the practical business of responding to the challenge. The pop up nature of the festival plus the historic nature of the city’s architecture have created a cultural acceptance that access for Deaf and disabled artists is very restricted. EE2E aim to challenge this view. We are attempting to respond creatively to the obvious hurdles and to create a culture which is genuinely inclusive.

We have appointed Joshua Hepple, a disability equality trainer, to work alongside us in this task.

Every Escalator East To Edinburgh show is wheelchair accessible.
